Askey Electrical & Compressed Air System

General contractor project for the design and construction of a complex M&E system for the Askey telecommunications equipment factory (a subsidiary of ASUS) at VSIP Bac Ninh Industrial Park.

Project Introduction

The Askey Bac Ninh factory is a large-scale manufacturing facility specializing in high-tech networking and telecommunications equipment. The project required an extremely complex M&E system, extending beyond power distribution to include auxiliary systems such as Nitrogen (N2), high-pressure compressed air, and water treatment for clean manufacturing. Manh Cuong implemented a comprehensive solution to ensure stable technical infrastructure for the factory's entire modern SMT assembly line.

System Role and Function

The M&E system at the Askey factory acts as the 'circulatory system' maintaining all production activities:

  • Providing 24/7 stable power supply for the SMT machine system and reflow ovens.
  • Maintaining stable compressed air pressure and flow for component placement equipment.
  • Supplying pure Nitrogen gas for non-oxidizing soldering processes.
  • Controlling temperature and cleanliness for the electronic component production area.

Detailed Construction Items

Manh Cuong performed synchronous installation of key items including:

  • Medium voltage substation and MSB/DB distribution panel system.
  • Cable ladder & tray system and power lines for the entire workshop.
  • Compressed air (Air) and Nitrogen (N2) piping system using specialized pressure-resistant materials.
  • Production water supply/drainage and domestic water system.
  • Industrial lighting system and emergency exit lighting.

Advanced Technical Solutions

For the industrial gas system, we applied a Ring Main piping solution to ensure uniform pressure at all consumption points on the line. The Nitrogen system is equipped with fine filters and strict purity control devices. For the electrical part, switching devices are calculated with high redundancy (Over-size) to prevent overheating and ensure equipment lifespan in a continuous high-intensity production environment.

Standardized Execution Process

The project was deployed according to Manh Cuong's strict 5-step process:

  • Step 1: Site survey and technical design document appraisal.
  • Step 2: Planning for mobilization of genuine materials and high-tech personnel.
  • Step 3: Modular installation to ensure no overlap between items.
  • Step 4: No-load and load testing, and performance testing of gas/electrical systems.
  • Step 5: Operational training, handover of as-built documents, and warranty activation.
